Class description: 

Step into the enchanting world of vintage glamour with this captivating vintage burlesque class, ‘Noir Femme Fatales.’ Immerse yourself in the sultry elegance of the golden age of burlesque, where every movement tells a story and every glance is laden with allure.

 

In this class, you’ll learn the art of striptease through the iconic elements that defined the era. Master the seductive finesse of robe reveals, the tantalising tease of suspender removals, and  technique of stocking peels. Each session will guide you through the glamorous choreography and confident expression that epitomises the femme fatale archetype, empowering you to embrace your inner siren.

 

Whether you're a seasoned performer or a curious beginner, "Noir Femme Fatales" offers a supportive and playful environment to explore your sensuality, build confidence, and celebrate the timeless beauty of burlesque. Join us for an unforgettable journey into the past, where you’ll learn to command the stage with poise and charisma.

Costume: Robe, dress slip, lingeries, suspender belt, stuckings, heels.

 

 

Costume is students own investment. In week 1 costume details will be finalised and discussed. Viola will assist students in where to source their costumes for the showcase. Please message with any queries you have regarding this.

 

 

Physicality: the class incorporates movements popular in classic burlesque, so participants should have a range of motion in their hips and be able to bend their knees with ease.

Performance Conditions:

 

To perform in The Vintage Showcase, performers must attend the technical rehearsal on the day of the show [Saturday 2nd of August]. Tech Rehearsal times are to be confirmed.

 

If you are unable to attend more than one of the classes over the five weeks of scheduled classes you may not be able to move forward with the performance as part of the 2nd of August showcase - please discuss your performance options directly with Viola.

 

Students and performers will be required to agree to a photo and video waiver as the showcase will be filmed and photographed. Students will be provided a copy of media taken at The Vintage Showcase.
